Brynjar Åbel Bandlien is a teacher in the dance section. He teaches contemporary dance, repertoire and presentation, body research and awareness. Brynjar is also responsible for the international semester. Brynjar Åbel Bandlien is a dancer and a facilitator of situations for dance. Birgitte Bauer-Nilsen is a teacher in the dance section. PhD associate professor in dance, choreographer and artistic director of Yggdrasil Dance. Birgitte teaches artistic research, repertoire and presentation, choreography, dance in context I and II. Birgitte has produced stage art, held guest lectures and workshops in Europe, Vietnam, India, China, Tanzania, Brazil and Greenland. Gry Galta van Merkensteijn is an assisting professor and teacher theory training and topics such as damage prevention, supplementary training, load and restitution, functional anatomy, nutrition and mental health. She's graduated from the Ballet Acadamy in Gothenburg, Alvin Ailey American Dance Center and Ballet Arts in New York, in addition to teacher in dance from UiS and MFA in Dance Science from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. She's been a practising comtemporary dancer and pedagogue in USA and Stavanger for many years. Her passion is to convey knowledge based on newer scientifically studies, and to share her knowledge so people together can build a healthy dance culture.
