Anavil Ahluwalia

About me

I am a PhD research fellow in City and Regional Planning at the University of Stavanger. With a background in architecture and urban design, my research explores democracy, justice, and decolonization in urban contexts. My PhD research is marked by a dedication to understanding the spatiality of nation and identity building and the politics of city building, especially in post-colonial states. I aspire to contribute to scholarly efforts from the South, shaping the discourse on urban histories and transformations, and reclaiming agency in the global academic dialogue.
