Content
The course consists of an introduction to the scientific method, with some rudiments on error analysis, in addition to mechanics and thermodynamics.
The mechanics part covers: kinematics in 1 and 2 dimensions; Newton's laws; work and mechanical energy; momentum; many-particles systems.
The thermodynamics part covers: pressure and temperature; phases and phase transitions; ideal gases; energy conservation and the first law of thermodynamics; work, heat and internal energy.
