Kort om meg
I am a dedicated PhD candidate at the Norwegian Centre for Reading Education and Research, at the University of Stavanger in Norway. My PhD research focuses on teachers' feedback practices in relation to students' oral reading and reading assessments, specifically through teachers' listening to students reading aloud. This work is part of the research project "Read for me " which aims to develop effective tools for reading assessment that also support students' reading motivation.
My primary research areas include early reading instruction, feedback practices and assessment for learning, teachers' self-efficacy in literacy instruction, and professional development within educational settings.
In addition to my work at the Norwegian Reading Centre, I am also affiliated with FIKS at the University of Oslo, where I work on professional development for teachers in reading instruction through the DEKOMP program.
I have an extensive background as a primary school teacher, followed by serving as a literacy coach for schools in my local municipality, where I was involved in professional development focused on early education, reading, writing, and second language learning.
One of my contributions to the field of education in Norway is as an author of the textbook and learning materials "Fabel" for reading and writing instruction in grades 1 to 4. Published by Aschehoug, "Fabel" received the prestigious Gold Award in the BELMA (Best European Learning Material Award) in 2021, further recognizing its impact on promoting effective learning experiences. Additionally, as an academic professional with diverse expertise, I have been involved in developing learning materials for intensive reading interventions for secondary school students through the Engasjer project at the Norwegian Reading Centre, UiS.
I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and insights with others and welcome any inquiries or interest in learning more about my research at the Reading Centre. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions or discussions regarding my work or reading instruction in general.
