Information about the university
University of Lisbia is the largest university in Portugal and and one of the largest in Europa. The university has 18 schools and more than 50 000 students. The university of Stavanger has agrements with both Tecnico Lisboa and the Faculty of Law.
Instituto Superior Técnico also called Técnico Lisboa was founded in 1911 and is a renowned institution offering higher education in the fields of Architecture, Engineering and Science and Technology. It has three campuses and courses in Engineering are hold at Alameda campus and has about 11500 students. It is located in Lisbon, the capital and largest city in Portugal.

If the exchange semester ends later than the following semester starts at UiS, the institute / faculty (in collaboration with the partner institution) will assist you so that you are not delayed in your studies.
There are various possibilities for facilitation: You may take courses that do not require you to be present during the examination period, you might be exempted from compulsory teaching at UiS or you might be given an extended deadline for submission of bachelor's and master's theses. Contact your study coordinator at the department for more information.
