Professor of Marketing at UiS Business School, Kenneth Henning Wathne, has received the publication prize of the most eminent and productive researcher in 2015-2021.
The prize was awarded at the Johan Arndt conference, a conference that was established in the memory of one of Norway's leading marketing researchers, Professor Johan Arndt.
The prize is awarded by the steering committee with representatives from BI Norwegian Business School (Handelshøyskolen BI), Norwegian School of Economics (Norges Handelshøyskole, NHH), Kristiania University College (Høyskolen i Kristiania) and University of South-Eastern Norway (Universitetet i Sørørst-Norge, USN).
Professor Kåre Sandvik at USN says that Wathne's exemplary work in the Journal of Marketing/Journal of Marketing Research/Strategic Management Journal in this period was decisive for the price, but that there were many other reasons. Among his publications, Wathne has ten Journal of Marketing/Journal of Marketing Research/Strategic Management Journal articles (all top-ranked, 4* journals), which is more than any other marketing researcher in Norway through history. The steering committee believes that Kenneth is an exemplary role model in the spirit of Professor Johan Arndt.
– I am incredibly thankful and honored to receive the award. The award is named after the great scholar Professor Johan Arndt, who paved the way for me and other academics in marketing and strategy. I’m also very proud to represent the University of Stavanger Business School and thank my current and former colleagues and academic institutions for making this possible.
